Stressed or bored?- We will say both! During this COVID -19 pandemic and quarantine days, we are facing these mental issues in one way or another. It will be different for me, and different for you and different for everyone! We all have our reasons to get stressed.
Many people face severe boredom as they don’t have anything to do as just sitting at home! Yes, even too long boredom may lead to anxiety and overthinking. So make sure to do something, at least do some experiments in your kitchen. Boredom can be overcome, but what if you are having a thought that you lost your life?
Nowadays, we know that companies are getting shut down and this raises a thought of the possibility of a recession. Many employees do not get their salary or getting half of the salary these days. All these things are leading people to severe stress and thoughts of how they will live!
Many software companies are running as usual by remote working but fields like hardware, airlines, and manufacturing, etc are shut down. Many employees in these fields are stuck in their rooms in their work place away from their family and they are feeling lonely. This will raise anxiety and hundreds of thoughts in them, whether they will not get their payment and how long they will be stuck there?
Loneliness, fear of job loss and cannot see our family and loved ones, etc will lead us to a trauma. And many of us are feeling a change in our character during these days in the form of frustrations, and tension which we can’t figure out the reason behind the tension! So what we can do? We want to sort out these mental issues. We want to untangle the tangled thoughts.
Most people might have depended on a therapist when they could not handle the situations. But in this lockdown, we cannot travel and go to our therapist or psychologist. In these days, many therapists provide their services through online as teletherapy. We can go for it if we cannot deal with our stress and anxiety ourselves.
You can have a meaningful conversation with your therapist through Skype, Google Meet or Face Time according to the convenience of you and your therapist. You can book a time for the conversation and just open up your thoughts.
Don’t be reluctant to take therapy if you can’t cope with the anxiety. It will give you relief, a hope to live and a mental strength. If you feel you are alone, got stuck in your room and no one is there to hear your problems, you can go for a teletherapy!
Well, you may have a personal therapist such as your best friend, your mother or partner who gives you the best mental relief than anyone else. If you have one, then just talk to them. That is also therapy, right?
There are ways to be mentally healthy in these quarantine days as usual as pre-quarantine. But still, some of us faces tensions, anxiety, and insomnia for different reasons, or maybe even we do not know the reason sometimes. So choose your therapist and share your thoughts with them. Untangling the tensions will give clear and positive thoughts.
So make your thoughts clear, and relax! Yes, everything will be alright!
