Living a life you love means living a life that you wake up to each morning excited about the day ahead and go to bed with a satisfaction that you have lived the day to the fullest. It is a feeling of warm personal attachment or deep affection towards one’s own life. Life is beautiful just like roses, but can also have challenges, which are like thorns. The challenge lie in facing them with courage, letting the beauty of life act like a balm, which makes the pain bearable, by providing hope. We all love to live as we like, to be loved by others, to have friends and relationships. All of us want to enjoy our life. But have we ever truly and completely loved our life? Most answers will be ‘no’. Today we don’t just have crushes. We pursue them. In between that we forget to love our own self and our own life. There are many ways to make our life interesting, lovable and creative.
Be your own bestie
Unless you commit to yourself, you cannot become a success. It means to take complete care of yourself — physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Have a good look at your life and find the area in which you are unhappy. Then you can bring your own positive changes there. Every critical situation can be overcome when we try to create our own path there. Don’t choose your path in life based on the expectations set on you by others, whether it is your parents, friends, or society in general. It is important to remember that while you can’t always change what happens to you, you can change how you react to it. Your life starts to change when you take a decision but don’t choose a path that will hurt those around you. Do what you love to do. Everybody cannot become a Sachin Tendulkar and all Sachin Tendulkar cannot become a chess player. Here lies the difference between the decision that we make and others put on us. Be your own best friend. Suppose we have disabilities. But if you want to succeed you have to make your disabilities into different abilities. Living examples are Nicholas James Vujicic, Muniba Mazari etc. They all created their own path and decisions.
Create your time to make you happy
We are always trying to dig out the past and always worried about the future. Then we lose out on enjoying the present moments in our life. While learning from the past can make a good future, make sure you are spending the majority of your time enjoying the present. Leave the past because it has gone. Don’t worry about the future it is yet to come. Live in the present and make it more shining and pleasant as much you can. You have to live each moment consciously in your own way. We always complain that we have enough time to do what we love. The thing that we have to realize is that there is only 24 hours for all. But the change is in how we utilize this time. We have to find time for doing what we like to do. We can go through our week and work out how we spend our time, writing down everything we do and how long we spend on it. This help us manage time.
Tackle your problems
We can become our own problem solver. Many of us fall into the habit of spending a lot of time discussing our problems with others, but very little time thinking of ways to solve them. Make a list of all the things that may be getting you down or that you would like to change and jot down some possible solutions. Then make a plan to tackle each problem one by one. Even if you are someone who thrives on pressure and enjoys taking on a lot of responsibility, everyone has their limits and taking on too much will cause stress and anxiety. To enhance your happiness, know your limits and learn how to say no. We always play in our safe zone. We never want to come out of it. If you want to enjoy life, you have break the shackles, come out of your comfort zones and set your own goals. By challenging yourself like this you will keep going ahead in life and will keep you encouraged to live more fully.
Never forget to tribute
By appreciating each and every small things in your life, you will learn to love every moment in your life. Appreciate what we have and be grateful to God. Life is made up of moments. And if you can collect these moments, you will never feel alone. When you try to focus on the small things that you have, this will help gradually shift your thoughts from what is missing in your life to what you have in your life and you will start to create your own happiness bit by bit. This can pave way from small things towards great things. If you neglect to enjoy these little things, what are you left with? It is the daily struggles, disappointments and disasters that come in to our mind making us irritated and causing us to hate our life and may even lead to depression or suicide.
The life you live is ultimately the life you choose. Turn your focus to the positive possibilities and these possibilities gradually become realities in your life. As George Washington Carver said, when you do the common things in life in an uncommon way, you will command the attention of the world. The purpose of our lives is to be happy so it is too important to be take this gift of life seriously and to love our life in every means and ways possible.
